Fall 2008
(09-26-2008)
2008 started with a dry spring and continued with a hot, dry summer. Harvest 2008 began a week earlier than 2007, starting with our Chardonnay grapes on August 14. We finished on September 1 with Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes' quality and sugars were excellent but (or because) yields were below normal, with very small grape clusters.

Bob and Mike work closely during the crush, which provides a nice, calm harvest, free of problems . There is always excitement in the air as we wait to see what each harvest brings! This year marks our 22nd anniversay producing our own wines from our Estate vineyards. Every year we add something that makes our work easier: a new forklift, a new press, a new filter or the dumper seen below. We really are a hands-on family-run winery.
