Spring 2009

Spring 2009 began with the usual bud break in mid-March.  After a miraculous February for rain, there were only a few showers in March and April but an easier frost season than '08.  A couple of mornings after Easter was the coldest for frost protection and was then followed by a heat wave.  The weather pattern now is normal and the vines have a hearty growth beginning for Vintage '09.

The Tasting Room is busy with customers sampling our New Releases: 2008 Chenin Blanc and 2007 Zinfandel, along with '06 Chardonnay, '06 Merlot , '06 Pine Station, '05 Cabernet, and '05 Zivio. With the great weather for traveling to the Valley for food and wine, now is the perfect time to stop and shop at our Winery.
