Winter 2011

Winter arrived with lots of rain and cold weather. The month of December we measured 12 inches of rain, a great start for our groundwater. In January, we have had many warm, dry days, good for getting out to prune the vines. Mike and Bob tend to their vineyard as they have done all their lives. They know each vine, just as any farmer knows his land. The mustard is back in full bloom- what a sight to behold!

 The unpredictable winter weather, with unusually warm days and cold nights, has us guessing  about the timing of the 2011 vintage.
