 | | 2007 Zinfandel
We like to produce California’s self-proclaimed native varietal in the typical California style. We keep the fruit yield down and harvest at optimum ripeness. Picked at 24.8 Brix, our Zinfandels are in the high 14% to low 15% alcohol range. Balancing out the forward, jammy (but not over-the-top) fruit flavors, we age this wine for 12 months in primarily American oak. The result is a powerful, dry wine that gives the impression of eating berries right off the vine.
Our 2007 Zinfandel is spicy and peppery made in the rich, full bodied California-style. Ageing was in 80% American oak and 20% French barrels(20% new). Rich, ripe berry aromas, joined with spicy clove and cinnamon. 100% varietal, 15.2% alcohol and 412 cases produced.
